"You will never live until you first walk to your death with Jesus. How can one be resurrected with Christ if he or she has not died first? This is why baptism is such a powerful message of one symbolically dying to their old life and being raised into a new one with Christ. Think of planting a seed. It may seem like that seed is gone, dead, and buried. But truly it is being set free so that it may grow into all it was made to be. We must all put to death the old and be set free from what was once our identity in the flesh, so that we may experience a new life, one to the full, with an identity found in Jesus. Here, we find the life we were promised."
