Surrender Poster

Inspired by Matthew 16:24

"Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me." 

Before we come to Christ, we lived in a world full of our preferences, our desires, and we made the rules for how we lived our lives. When we come to Christ, we are called to surrender those things and be made new in Christ. Who gives us a new heart, who gives us the Holy Spirit, and calls us to a higher way of living. It’s scary. It’s scary giving up our old way of living, it’s all we’ve ever known. It takes faith to step into the unknown and trust that God is going to take care of us, that He knows what’s best. Many of us only give 90% and hold on to that 10. But God wants all of us, complete surrender. It is only there that God can use all of us and help us live up to the potential He created us for.
